I'm Srinivasa, a 24-year-old backend engineer (SDE 2) at Zomato, where I've spent the last two and a half years in adtech. I build the ad products restaurants use to get noticed, and the billing systems that make sure everyone pays the right amount for being noticed. It all runs at a scale where a small bug turns into a very large conversation.

I studied B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, specialising in IoT, at Vellore Institute of Technology. I started out making small devices talk to each other and ended up making very large services talk to each other, which is the same job with fewer wires. This blog is where I write about backend systems, billing, and working at scale. It runs on coffee.
